Faith, Flight & Family — A Life of Purpose

Stories and reflections on following God

Prayer changes things. If we long to see change in our lives, our families, our relationships, or our country, we need to pray. Whatever is weighing on your heart today, bring it to God.

When we pray, we are invited to trust that He hears us and is able to answer. Hebrews 11:1 reminds us that faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. We may not know how God will respond, but we can trust the character of the One we are asking.

His timing may be different from ours, and His answer may be difficult to accept. Sometimes it is yes, sometimes no, and sometimes we must wait. Each answer calls us to trust Him beyond the outcome we hoped for.

Perhaps you have prayed for others and celebrated their answered prayers while quietly wondering when your own answer will come. Bring that feeling to God, too. You do not have to hide your questions or pretend your faith never wavers. You can pray, “Lord, I believe; help me overcome my unbelief.”

God sees what we cannot. He knows our needs, understands our desires, and sees where they may lead. Something we desperately want may carry consequences we cannot yet understand. We will not always know why He withholds it, but we can keep bringing our hearts to Him.

So pray today. Pray for the people you love, the burdens you carry, and the change you hope to see. Ask boldly, listen patiently, and leave room for His will. Even while you wait for circumstances to change, allow Him to work within you.

Welcome to the Njoroges world

We’re the Njoroges, a Kenyan-American family growing in faith and figuring life out together. MJ and Lion handle the noise, adventures, and snack requests. Mum and Dad do everything else and like to think they’re in charge. We love Jesus, laugh often, and treasure this life we get to share.
